Winsome Yarns (WINSOMY), incorporated on Jul. 19, 1990, produces blended yarn and knitwear. It is part of the Kolkota-based Winsome group, which has business interests in trading and textiles. Winsome Textile Industries is also a part of the group. The manufacturing units are located at Patiala and Mohali in Punjab with an installed capacity of 50,000 spindles and 192,000 pieces of knitwear. The expansion plan to add 60,000 spindles and 180 knitting machines and set up 3.9 MW hydel power projects in Punjab were under implementation.
