The Andhra Sugars Limited was established on the 11th of August , 1947. ASL uses locally available renewable resources to produce value added products , generating employment for the rural population and help in boosting the rural economy. Their operations located at Tanuku, Kovvur, Guntur, Taduvai, Saggonda and Bhimadole in the state of Andhra Pradesh in Southern India producing 25 different products. It manufacture Acetic Acid, Acetic Anhydride and Ethyl Acetate from industrial alcohol. It is a diversified company which is primarily engaged in the manufacture and sale of sugar, organic and inorganic chemicals. ANDHRASUGAR produces sugar, acetic acid, industrial alcohols, sulphuric acid, super phosphates, chlorosulphonic acid, oleum, aspirin, carbon dioxide, alum, diffusers, equipments, unsymmetrical dimethyl hydrazine, cotton seeds etc. It is also involved in richburn and oil cakes processing, refinery, hydrogenation of oils, cattle and poultry feed, wind power, electricity etc.
